The Australian Hardwood Timber Company has grown into one of the largest biggest timber slab suppliers in Victoria, featured on likes of Channel 9’s “The Block” and a host of Australia’s finest architects, designers and woodworkers.
Sustainability
We are proud of our company wide commitment to sustainability, our timber is salvaged sustainably from fallen trees, our timber milling is 100% powered by our on-site solar panels and our processes are carbon neutral.
Our Range
Our extensive range of timber slabs include Red Gum, Mahogany, Elm, English Oak, Silky Oak, Spotted Gum, Stringy Bark, Red Stringy Bark, Blackwood, Spruce, Blue Gum, Sugar Gum , Cypress Pine , Poplar Gum, Cedar, Coastal Banksia, Mountain Ash, Hybrid Mountain Ash, Camphor Laurel and Spruce.
We often stock timber with rare features like fiddleback and Mountain Ash that has been struck by lightning, which offers an extremely unique pattern through the timber.
Our Kiln
We are one of the only companies in Australia that use iDry Kilns which have an international certification allowing our timber to be exported under international specifications.
They are top of the line heat treatment and vacuum kilns which dries wood in 2-3 weeks, to a 6-8% Moisture content – Ideal level for woodworking and exporting.
We can also dry slabs individually, per cubic metre or pallet lot.
Our iDry Kilns can fit anything under 14 Cubic Metres (5.1m long x 1.55m wide x 1.8m high).
All of slabs are generally 50mm thick, however custom cutting and milling is available.
We also offer a dressing and flattening service with professional advise.
